Through the arts, culture and history Mr. Marshall has inspired and positively impacted employees, students, teachers and the public in business, education and community sectors. A passionate leader, he is committed to leveling the educational playing field for disadvantaged students by using the visual and performing arts to positively impact academic performance. Akil designed his award winning Boys-2-MEN and Girls-2-DIVA programs that motivate urban students to Awaken the Genius and Leadership Within. Students who have participated in these programs have learned effective goal setting and attainment that supported graduation from high school and enrollment in college.

DAD produced dance and theatrical events and develops intervention and prevention education programs using the arts as a vehicle to engage and redirect the reluctant learner.
Currently Akil Marshall serves as CEO & President of The Akil Marshall Organization (TAMO), a national arts education group, dance/theater company and educational consulting firm. Akil believes schools and workplaces should prepare young people and employees for America’s 21st century marketplace. His model, “WINNING IN AMERICA”, should be a part of each students or workers development and every teacher or manager’s methods.
